TERMS OF USE – THE SOKO WAY
1. Introduction
This Terms of Use Agreement ("Agreement"), along with our Privacy Policy, constitutes a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "Customer") and The SOKO Way ("Company," "we," "us," "our"). By signing up and using our website www.thesokoway.com, you agree to these terms and conditions, as well as any future updates. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our services. We reserve the right to modify these terms, and any changes will be communicated via email and posted on our website.
2. Personal Information & Account Security
2.1 Communication
By registering, you agree to receive service-related emails, updates, and promotional materials. You can opt-out anytime in your account settings.
2.2 Required Information
To use our services, we may require additional details such as shipping addresses, payment details, and identification documents (if necessary for customs). You are responsible for ensuring all provided information is accurate. The SOKO Way is not liable for any issues arising from incorrect details.
2.3 Account Security
You are responsible for securing your account login details.
If you suspect unauthorised access, notify us immediately at info@thesokoway.com.
2.4 Account Deletion
You can delete your account via your dashboard after settling all outstanding invoices.
Once deleted, your purchase history will be removed permanently.
3. Our Services
3.1 How Our Service Works
The SOKO Way provides a personal shopping and shipping service for users who wish to buy products from Korea. Customers submit a purchase request form, and we process the order on their behalf after confirming payment.
3.2 Prohibited Items
We do not process or ship any restricted, illegal, or hazardous items. If customs or the shipping carrier rejects or confiscates an item, we are not responsible for any penalties, delays, or losses.
3.3 Package Arrival & Handling
Once an item arrives at our warehouse, it will be logged under your account.
Items without proper identification (e.g., missing order details) will be stored separately. If unclaimed within 60 days, they will be discarded.
3.4 Storage Policy
First 30 days of storage are free.
After 30 days, a $1 per package per day fee applies.
Items left unclaimed for 60 days will be discarded.
4. Custom Orders & Payment Terms
4.1 Custom Purchase Requests
Customers must fill out a purchase request form with accurate details (e.g., product links, quantity, specifications).
Once we review your request, we will send an invoice with the total cost.
Orders are only placed after full payment is received.
4.2 Payment & Fees
Payments are accepted in KRW and USD via [Wise/PayPal/Bank Transfer].
If your total order is below 50,000 KRW, a flat service fee of $4.90 USD applies.
Orders above 50,000 KRW are subject to a 9% service fee.
4.3 Order Cancellation & Refunds
You may cancel an order before payment is made.
If payment has already been processed, cancellations are not allowed unless the item is sold out.
Refunds (if applicable) will be issued in the original payment method.
5. Shipping & Repacking Services
5.1 Shipping Requests
Customers must select their shipping method and confirm their delivery address.
The SOKO Way is not responsible for incorrect addresses provided by customers.
5.2 Repacking & Consolidation
We repack all items to minimize shipping costs and ensure secure packaging.
For extra protection, customers can request:
✅ Bubble wrap or AirCap protection
✅ Fragile labels (up to 4 per box)
✅ Removing unnecessary packaging (e.g., K-pop album outer boxes)
5.3 Customs & Import Taxes
Customers are responsible for any customs duties or import taxes required by their country.
If customs requires order receipts, The SOKO Way may provide additional handling services for a fee.
5.4 Refusal to Pay Import Fees
If a package is returned or confiscated due to unpaid customs fees, we are not responsible for additional shipping costs or losses.
If the shipping carrier bills us for unpaid duties, we reserve the right to recover costs from the customer.
6. Lost, Returned, or Unclaimed Packages
6.1 Lost Packages
If a package is lost by the shipping carrier, we will assist in filing a claim on your behalf.
The SOKO Way is not responsible for lost or damaged packages once they have been handed over to the shipping carrier. Any compensation will depend on the carrier’s policies and insurance coverage.
Customers are advised to choose shipping options with tracking and insurance for higher-value items.
6.2 Returned Shipments
If a package is returned due to incorrect addresses, customs rejection, or non-collection, customers are responsible for any return fees and re-shipping costs.
If we do not receive instructions within 30 days, the package will be discarded.
7. Termination of Service
7.1 Banning of Accounts
The SOKO Way reserves the right to ban users who:
Provide false information or fraudulent requests.
Fail to pay outstanding invoices.
Abuse customer support or violate our policies.
Banned users will lose access to their accounts, and all unshipped packages will be discarded.
7.2 Discarded Packages
Any package left unclaimed for 60 days or unpaid for shipping within 30 days will be discarded permanently.
